Lesson 1 — The three house models and the eight resold ones
Module 1 · ~13 min · model data read from the platform on 2026-10-21
The first thing to understand is that Higgsfield is two things at once, and almost every tutorial treats it as one.
It has its own models — Cinema Studio, in three versions, and Marketing Studio. And it resells other companies' models through the same interface: FLUX 3 from Black Forest Labs, Grok 1.5 from xAI, Hailuo and H3 from MiniMax, Seedance from Bytedance, Wan 2.6.
This matters for a practical reason: what works in one does not work in another. The parameters differ, the maximum duration differs, and the way you ask differs. Learning "how to prompt on Higgsfield" without knowing which model is like learning to drive without knowing whether the car is automatic.
The three house models
Cinema Studio Video 3.0 — the most advanced of them. What you need to know up front:
- Resolution: 480p, 720p, 1080p or 4K
- Duration: 4 to 15 seconds
- It has a genre parameter: auto, action, horror, comedy, noir, drama, epic
- It accepts a first and last frame (that's Lesson 5)
- Audio is off by default
Cinema Studio Video (v2) — less resolution, more control. It's the one with the fine-grained knobs, which is why it carries all of Module 2: pro or standard mode, speed ramp, multi-shot, and cfg_scale, which is how hard the model sticks to your text. Duration runs 3 to 12 seconds.
Marketing Studio — not a general video model, a product-ad machine. It takes a product, an avatar, a hook and a setting, and returns 12 to 15 seconds built for TikTok and Reels. That's Module 4.
The resold ones, one line each
| Model | What it's for |
|---|---|
| FLUX 3 Video | Up to 20s, 4K, video continuation, synchronized audio |
| Grok Video 1.5 | Physics and camera motion, accepts an audio reference |
| MiniMax Hailuo | Facial emotion and natural physics — best on faces |
| MiniMax H3 | 2K, keyframes, image/video/audio references |
| Seedance 1.5 Pro | Reliable motion, 4/8/12s — the dependable default |
| Seedance 2.0 | Consistent identity, multi-SKU, up to 4K |
| Seedance 2.5 | Up to 30s, video editing and extension |
| Wan 2.6 | Stylized and experimental, open weights |
How to choose
Don't memorize the table. Memorize the three questions:
- How many seconds? Above 15, only FLUX 3 (20s) or Seedance 2.5 (30s). The house models stop at 15.
- Is there a human face in close-up? Hailuo — it's the one that gets expression wrong least often.
- Is it a product ad? Marketing Studio, and nothing else. It already knows the structure the others make you write by hand.
For everything else, start on Cinema Studio v2, because that's where you have knobs to fix what came out wrong instead of starting over.
The caveat that saves money
One model — Seedance 2.0 — accepts the free-trial unlimited generations, when you have that balance. The others don't. Check your balance before picking the model, not after: picking the right model with the wrong balance is the most common way to burn credits on this platform.
